Excellent Breakfast and a Great Night's Sleep
The Brass Lantern Inn is a lovely 17-room property in the middle of town. Three great things: 1. Meet Lisa, the innkeeper. She's warm, professional, funny, and a wealth of knowledge. Lisa's cultivated a list of must try Nantucket secrets, and she's spot on. 2. The Brass Lantern rooms are simply decorated and everything is cute and clean. What is the winner are the soft, comfortable and not-want-to-get-out-of bed quality that you'll remember for a long time. I really don't know what makes the beds so comfortable, but if you need a good night's sleep, turn down the lights, open the windows, fluff up the pillows, and you'll be out in no time. 3. Breakfast parfaits made with almond milk, chia seeds, fresh fruits and nuts; Stonewall Kitchen jams and jelly's; freshly baked gourmet (not commercial) muffins, a wonderful selection of cheeses, whole wheat breads, fresh fruits, and both drip and French-press coffee. I was in heaven and deeply satiated. There are a couple of places on the planet that I wish I had access to visit more often. The Brass Lantern Inn is at the top of my list.Very Happy Guest
