As an special Nantucket feature of our recent renovation, we have added two ‘galleries’ in the hallways of the Garden Wing to showcase Nantucket photographers. These displays not only beautify our space, but they enrich our guests’ experience with beautiful views and vistas of Nantucket that they may not directly experience while they are on Island. And, our guests may also choose to purchase one or more prints, and to ‘bring Nantucket home’.
Garth Grimmer of Nantucket PhotoArt and Peter Louderback have their beautiful photos of Nantucket – landscapes, seascapes, sunsets and iconic Nantucket images – beautifully displayed in the first and second floor galleries.
Moon over Great Point is Garth Grimmer’s beautiful subtly-hued photograph of an early evening sky with the full moon high over the Lilliputian Great Point Lighthouse – a beautiful work that you will see as you enter the Garden Wing from the Kitchen.

Peter Louderback’s images reflect life on Nantucket, as he says, “People having fun!” Peter’s 
images are giclee printed and displayed in simple black wood frames. This is Peter’s first effort to show some of his favorite photos and offer them for sale; “I have chosen to print the images on a canvas backing as I think that this is an unusual approach. It is attractive, large images can be printed at a reasonable price and the look is different and lovely. The canvas lasts for many years and maintains it color. The image is mounted in a simple frame and is a great option to acquire an original, beautiful Nantucket location quality print that you will enjoy for a lifetime at a reasonable price.”
