Have you started your planning for the holidays? Typically, planning includes long email chains with family members or phone calls, planning meals, travel, and accommodations….so why not this year make Nantucket your new holiday tradition! We are your home away from home and a stay at Brass Lantern Inn you will leave feeling relaxed this Thanksgiving.
Arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday and beat the holiday traffic. Now that you have arrived you can unwind and relax. A few of our favorite off-season activities include; a visit to Bartlett Farms, Cisco Brewers, shopping the great deals on Main Street (perfect time to start your Christmas shopping), enjoying a hot coffee from the Corner Table, and savoring on comfort food at the Brotherhood of Thieves.
Thanksgiving morning, partake or be a bystander and watch the brave souls at the 18th annual Nantucket Atheneum Cold Turkey Plunge. Hundreds of valiant swimmers plunge into the icy Nantucket waters at Children’s Beach on Thanksgiving morning to support the Weezie Library for Children. This fun and chilly event has raised more than $100,000 in recent years. Joe Biden and his family have made Nantucket their Thanksgiving tradition for over 30 years…and the Vice President has been known to join in with the Cold Turkey Plungers!
