It may be too cold right now for sailing round Brant Point Lighthouse – but, at least according to Punxsutawney Phil, spring will be early this year – just around the corner.
Here is the current festival and event calendar for 2013:
April 26 – 28 – Daffodil Festival Weekend – great way to welcome springtime
 May 15 – 19 – Nantucket Wine Festival – bigger and better than ever this year.
May 24 – 27 – Memorial Day Weekend – otherwise known as Figawi Weekend
June 3 – 9 – Nantucket Restaurant Week – great time to come and try out some new restaurants – prix fixe menus at most restaurants
June 26 – 30 – Nantucket Film Festival – a little later this year, so warmer and even better
July 3 – 7 – Fourth of July Holiday on Nantucket – it is on Thursday this year, so come early and stay through the weekend.
July 20 and 21 – Nantucket Triathlon – two races this year – one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Racers get an ‘acktri’ discount on a three night stay at the Brass Lantern!
July 26 – 28 –Â Nantucket Comedy Festival
August 10 –Â Boston Pops Concert on Jetties Beach, Keith Lockhart conducting.
August 11 – 19 – Sail Week and. August 18, the Race Week and Opera House Cup Regatta
August 30 – September 1 – Labor Day Weekend – early this year! (Means one less week of summer – so get planning!)
