The Brass Lantern Innย renovation this past winter combined a fresh new design to the eleven new rooms, soft Farrow and Ball paint colors and beautiful accent wallpapers, lovely and practical materialsย for padded headboard slip covers and bedskirts and floor coverings. We purchased comfortable new furnitureย so every one of the rooms has seating for two or more, and up-to-date lamps with tambour shades.

Glossy white now, with nickel hardware in the Brant Point room!
But,ย in keeping with our ‘green’ philosophy at the Brass Lantern, our existing pine bureaus, end tables and mirror frames were re-purposed with several coats of glossy white paint and new nickel hardware.
The pine bureaus were in all the Garden Wing rooms when the Inn was purchased 15 years ago. ย Rather than discard these pieces, the white paint and nickel hardware has given them a new life and an important place in the new rooms at the Brass Lantern! ย The bureaus provide the base for the 32″ flat panel TVs in some of our rooms, and simply provides additional surface and storage space in rooms where the TV is mounted to the wall. ย And the bedside and occasional tables enhance our new expanded sitting areas in our larger rooms.
