The Nantucket Culinary Center, just down the street from the Brass Lantern, is open for business!
The extensive renovation, which began in 2014, has transformed a lovely Greek revival style building that had been sadly in need of attention, into a three level, state of the art culinary center designed to celebrate the art and craft of cooking. Cooking, that is, for you and me – not as a culinary school intended for professional chefs. Take a look at the programs and classes they currently offer with many more to come.
The Culinary Center offers cooking classes, cooking demonstrations by guest chefs, and a new downtown cafe.
The Corner Table
The Corner Table, offers a bright, appealing gathering space for breakfast, lunch or just a cup of coffee on gloomy winter day, as well as beautifully prepared and well-priced take-away dinners. Put The Corner Table at the top of your list of ‘new things to see and do’ when on Nantucket- I know I have!
Cooking Classes and More to Come
The cooking classes will range from learning how to enhancing your knife skills – so important to mis en place prepping – to the Tuesday Night Supper Club where you and up to eleven other classmates will learn how to prepare all of the courses of a full dinner menu and then enjoy the results in the private dining room overlooking Federal Street. What a great idea for a Girls Getaway or a Family Reunion weekend!
Watch for our New Cooking Specials and Packages
We are looking forward to crafting new Brass Lantern cooking packages with the Nantucket Culinary Center!
